Hi lovely crafters!
I’m so happy to be here! My first project for the Felicity Jane CT is here and this is the first time you are going to see me. My name is Maria Celeste but everybody calls me Celes. I’m a creative woman from Mendoza, Argentina.
I feel so happy and blessed to be part of this amazing team. I have to confess that one of my “scrapbooking” dreams came true some weeks ago. When Jeana and Sheree asked me if I wanted to be part of this team… I felt butterflies flying inside of me. I knew that a very special creative journey was about to start. So the first thing that came to my mind was: “I have to do a journal of my creative experience”. This is how everything started…
I prepared my photos including the one published for the announcement and I decided to use one of the cutting files from the FJ website. I love my cutting machine and using cutting files for my projects. They give you a lot of possibilities to combine colors, textures and materials.
As I wanted to document my creative journey with this CT, doing a notebook spread as my first project was the perfect idea to start. The most special moment of all documented with love and with the beautiful products of the Millie Collection.
One of my favorite things are rainbows and this collection has many of them in it. If you look carefully at every detail of my notebook spread you will see rainbows in all of it. I love giving texture and relief to my projects. You will see thread, sewing details and ripped paper. I also combined all materials and photos in different layers.
For my cutting file I chose 5 papers from the Millie Pack. I cut the back of the letter in design paper and the outline on white cardstock.
Another detail I prepared was two ripped papers for the top of both pages and I sewed them with the sewing machine and white thread. I prepared the same detail for the base of both pages but I used just one paper.
No notebook spread will be complete if we do not write a chronicle of the moment or the memories of that involve our photos. As I don’t have my new typewriter yet, I decided to write everything I thought and felt using my computer and a printer. I prepared a small text that I separated into sentences, cut with my guillotine and pasted in the place I chose.
“Happy Creating”… this is exactly how I feel every day…
I hope you find this idea really inspiring. I would love to see your notebook spread!
Have a great week! See you next time!
