"My Duo" Layout | Desiree Lamar

"My Duo" Layout | Desiree Lamar

Hello Fj friends! Today I am sharing this layout using the gorgeous Capri collection. I think it may be one of my many Felicity Jane favorites to date. When I first saw the Capri paper pack, I knew I wanted to do a layout that focuses on the lovely chevrons from the Hearts and Chevron patterned paper.

To start this layout, I selected white cardstock paper layered on top of the Floral & Diamonds patterned paper as my base. Then, I fussy cut the chevrons and placed one to the left and right of my white cardstock paper. The soft shades of pink and blue in the floral paper were the perfect background to help my fussy cut chevrons pop.

Next, I chose the tip of the large blue chevron on the left to place the picture of my husband and daughter from a visit to the natural history museum. That’s when I felt I needed a little more drama for my chevron clusters. So I fussy cut the flowers from the same floral patterned paper to layer under both chevrons. I have to say I loved the results.

For a little repetition, I added labels to both chevron clusters. I chose the title "My Duo" to place under my picture using the Capri puffy alphas. I completed the layout with the fun rainbow washi, Capri puffy stickers, and die cut hearts. Of course, I could not forget to sprinkle the color-coordinated asterisks over my layout.

I really hope you enjoy this layout just as much as I enjoyed making it. It was so fun with the beautifully themed Capri collection and came together quite smoothly.

XO, Desiree
