Dannielle here, and I am back again with another layout I created using the "Summer" kit. I am still loving all the bright and cheery colors that are in this kit, and all the layouts that I am creating with it are becoming instant favorites.
Here is a look at my newest layout
I love this picture of my family that was taken last weekend at my mom's birthday. I knew I wanted to get this picture in my album, and I new the "Summer" kit was the perfect product to use on my page.
The first thing I did was sort though some of my paper scraps and pick a few out that I thought looked good together, and matched the feel of my photo. I made sure to cut them all at the same height, but varied the widths to add some interest.
After I had my paper squares in place, I pulled out the chipboard stickers to see if any would work on my page. I picked out a few that I liked, and quickly noticed that they matched some of my papers that were already on my page. I decided to place each of the stickers on their respective colors, and I really love the way it turned out.
Next I added a tag between the two white layers of my background paper. This was mostly a design decision, but I also used that tag as an opportunity to jot down a few things that I wanted to remember about this awesome night.
The last thing I did was take my layout over to my sewing machine to add just a bit of stitching, and then used a date stamp to add the date.
I have gotten so much milage our of the "Summer" kit. I have a couple more layouts that I know I want to still work on, but I am also so excited to work with the new "Kate" kit.
Hope you all have some fun plans for the upcoming weekend. If those plans include some creative play, don't forget to share your projects. We LOVE seeing what you are all creating with the super gorgeous Felicity Jane kits!
