"My Happy Moments" Mini Album | Celes Gonzalo

Hello crafters! Happy Monday! It’s Celes here today sharing a new idea… let’s mix some FJ Kits with the new Emily Collection to create this lovely mini album. Isn’t it a great idea? I love to mix different collections to make a project. You will be surprised how beautiful everything is!



The Emily collection has a very special stamp set. So I decided to make a mini album to document our best momento of the daily life in a week. It can be a week of vacation, a week of creative work, a week with family, a week with friends, or all of the above combined.

To make the structure of our mini album we need to cut 2 pieces of cardboard of 4” w x 6 1/2” h. We  also need to cut 3 pieces of cardboard of 4” w x 3/8” h to make the spine of the mini album. Once you have all these pieces, you need to choose the papers to cover all the structure.



For the cover: Time to decorate the cover! I love to do this!

I made a background with metallic white watercolor and added some embellishments. I used some Emily die cuts, three Emily chipboard flairs and a Jeana tassel bow. I prepared the word "my" with the Mari Chipboard Alphabet, added some pieces of ribbon and I prepared a paper rosette. It is a very sweet and delicate cover, don't you think?



For the spine: The spine of the mini album is curved (smooth curve). In addition, I made two holes to be able to pass two loose leaf rings.

Tip: Remember to add the ribbon to close the mini album before gluing the inner paper.



For the pages: I used a large tag die to make the pages. I wanted the pages to be removable so we can add the photos and write our memories. I cut the base of the pages out of white cardboard.



Then, I cut the design papers using the same die and removing the edges with my guillotine. This way, I will be able to paste them into the white tags and the edges will show. A very nice and easy detail to do ;)



Let’s decorate every page! Use all you have! I decided to combine Emily stamp set, Emily chipboard flairs, Emily word stickers and some midi paper clips.

I prepared a page for each day of the week. I also made some special pockets and pages and I added some pockets on the inner covers for cards and photos.
