Hey everyone!
Tiffany here with a 12x12 layout using the Taylor kit along with some other bits and pieces from previous kits. The photo I chose of myself to document is very light with a lot of pastel colors, so before I began anything, I pulled out all of the light pink, mint, blue, and black and white pieces I wanted to use from the most recent kits: Taylor, Gabby and Tori. One of the things I love about the Felicity Jane kits is that even though the overall feel of these kits are autumnal, I can still pull out and coordinate pieces to create a really light, pastel, feminine project.
First, I laid down my pattern papers that I wanted to use. I had long scraps of two papers from Taylor, so I trimmed them a bit and layered them on the left side of my layout. I used one of the mint blue cardstocks from the Tori kit and added that to the edge, with the little scalloped edge poking out. Since I added that to the edge, I did have to trim off some of the white cardstock on the right to keep the dimensions 12x12.
I began to put together my photo cluster next. I matted my photo on that same mint blue paper, then matted that onto a floral black and white paper. I layered a white doily, a journaling card and a piece of the pink and white striped paper behind my photo before I stuck it down to embellish.
I tucked a bunch of things to poke out from under my photo cluster on the top, bottom, and from each side. I used the cardstock fringe from the Gabby kit, trimmed them down, and layered them under my photo at the bottom. I stuck different tabs and a tag at the top and sides, and even sprinkled a few puffy and epoxy stickers about as well. To add some fun texture, I added a sheer ribbon to my tag and embellished around my photo with two felt stitched hearts that matched from the Bailey kit.
For my title, I combined the Tori alphas and a die cut piece to read "My Goals," then added a Gabby arrow chipboard piece that says "this" pointing to my photo. My photo is of myself, hovering, sitting on a cloud in a meditative position with the moon phases above my head. I've been thinking about my life goals recently and one thing I've come to realize is that a certain thing that I want in life is to be content in all things. I want to feel relatively happy about everything I do and everything I am. I describe the feeling of floating on air and how that feeling is exciting and joyful. I want to feel that all the time.
So at the bottom right of my layout, I used a few label stickers to create a little space for a bit of journaling. I embellished around that with an assortment of die cuts, puffy and epoxy stickers.
Definitely check out the process video below to get a better idea at how this layout came together!
