Happy Monday Crafty Friends! It’s time for another mixed kit Monday. The kits that I used are the Katherine and June collection. Once I saw the beautiful shades of red and pink in the June collection, I knew the Katherine collection would be a great match. I thought this picture of my daughter visiting her grandmother during spring break was perfect for this mixed kit.
I started with a piece of white Felicity Jane Cardstock. My goal was to make a banner-style layout. To make my banner pieces, I used a yellow stripe journaling card and vellum frame from the Katherine collection. I used a tag from the June die cut pack and a June designer tags. The June designer tags are perfect for achieving a banner.
Next, I punched holes in all my banner pieces and strung them up with peach embroidery floss. I tied it around the page and adhered my banner pieces in place. To complete my banner, I added June die cuts and puffy stickers from the Katherine collection.
I wanted the banner to be the star of the show. So to keep it light, I added a small cluster to the bottom of my page.
I finished off the layout by adding chipboard florals, puffy stickers, and enamel dots in coordinating colors from the June collection. I backed the white cardstock with the plaid and stripes patterned paper.
Thank you so much for joining me for mixed kit Mondays. I had so much fun creating with the Katherine and June kits. I hope you give it a try!
xo, Desiree
