Hello FJ friends!
Happy New Year! I hope your start to the year has been great. For me, a new year means new opportunities, new resolutions, and new goals to achieve. And 2021 is very special because, after 4 years of being a stay at home mum, I go back to work with my own business. So, I'm not gonna lie, I'm freaking nervous. That's why today, my TN spread is dedicated to new beginnings.
I have used the Coco kit, and as you can see, it could be used to document non-Christmas stories too. For my color palette, I've chosen pink, mint, and mustard. I love how you can find these three colors in all the elements of the spread. The photo is also very symbolic: the beginning of a path, the new path that I'm about to take.
On the first page, I used the Snow & Trees paper as my background and machine stitched a border all around it. Then, I decided to cut my photo as a circle and create a tag, with an eyelet and a trim from the Christmas trims grab bag. To embellish both pages and give them unity, I fussy cut some flowers from the Flowers and Dotty Stripes paper.
Finally, I used stamps to add some motivational phrases. From the Gabby stamp set, I used the phrase "One step at a time" with heat embossing. Then, I cut it in half and put one part on top and the other on the bottom. Next to the photo, I stamped a phrase from the Hope stamp set with black ink.
On the second page, I placed the title of the spread. I used the Flowers & Dotty Stripes paper for my background, taking advantage of the border strip and adding another piece of it on the top. Then, I cut a square from the Stars & Gingham paper, where I built the title with the Puffy Alphabet Stickers. I also made machine stitching around it.
In the upper right corner of this square, I placed a tab from the die cut shapes where I stamped "Let's go" from the Amanda stamp set. It fitted perfectly in the spot. I also added some more flowers, and I marked the year with the little calendar number from the Puffy Stickers.
I hope you feel inspired by this spread, and I would like to know your goals for 2021! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I can't wait to share a new project with you with the gorgeous Krystal kit!
See you soon!
