Hi! Dannielle here, and I have a new layout to share with you today. I expect the new "Kate" kit to be showing up at my door step any day now, but I am happy to still be playing with all the beautiful goodies that came in the "Summer" kit. I see that the Summer kit is still in stock, so it is still not to late to pick one up if you haven't already.
Here is a look at my layout:
I took this photo of my two niece dogs the last time we went camping. They love to play fetch, and they always fight over the stick. It always makes me laugh when they bring it back together because neither of them will let go.
I first had plans to use the super cute chipboard stickers that came in the kit, because they had some designs that I though worked perfectly with this beach layout. As I worked on this layout I got to a point where I thought it just looked perfect as it was so I saved my chipboard for another layout.
For this page I ended up layering a few pieces of scrap paper that I had left over from a different layout behind my photo. I also used a tag from my stash to add another interesting layer. I added the "TODAY" banner as a finishing touch and called it good.
Next I moved on to my title. The puffy alphabets that came in the Summer kit are definitely in my top 5 favorites. I just love the grid design on them. I also love that they came with some extra shapes like those cute little hearts. They added just the right amount of cuteness to this layout.
After I got my title placed down, I moved on to my journaling. I used a ruler to draw in some lines, and then added my story.
This is definitley a go to design for me, but I continue to recreate it because I love it so much. It just works for me!
