Hello friends! It's Victoria and I am back with a scrapbook layout using the last bits of my Brooke Kit while I wait ever so patiently for the gorgeous Brie Kit to arrive!
This layout features a photo of my daughter at our local bookstore. She is currently obsessed with the Dork Diaries series (among others) and I snapped a photo of her as she poured through her newly acquired book. I love to scrapbook her interests; to capture these sweet moments that I hope she will remember for a lifetime. And I am a pretty proud parent for raising a voracious reader!
To begin, I selected the Brooke Pinstripe and Ledger patterned paper for the background of this layout. Additionally, I trimmed the Gem and Hearts patterned paper to serve as a layering element under my photo.
Next, I created two layered clusters on the left and top right side of my photo using elements from the Brooke and London kits - frames, die cuts, a label, and rubber shapes. Adding foam squares under the black and white polka dot frame and under the rainbow rubber element creates a lot of dimension and interest.
Lastly, I wanted to incorporate stamping as part of my title. Using the Basics Lowercase stamp set, I stamped "her nose stuck in a" in black ink and emphasized the word "book" using the pink Brooke Puffy Alphas.
I hope you are taking a little time this week to make something creative with your Felicity Jane kits! And as always, thanks so much for stopping by.
