Have you seen the new Note to Self Everyday Moments Planner Pages that were released in the shop this month? I love them and thought I’d share with you today how I’ve set up a spread for this week.
These pages have the planner set up on one side, then on the reverse of each page you’ll find a dot background. This is perfect for adding all sorts of extras into your planner. You could add notes, photos, create a mini layout…whatever you like! What I like about having the dots on the reverse is that I can use my sewing machine on the pages and it doesn’t matter what I have on the back of the page. Yay!
For this week’s spread I decided to revisit the gorgeous Jeana Kit. I loved this kit when it came out and I thought it would be fun to use up some more of my Jeana Kit stash! (Note: There is also a digital version of the Jeana Kit available in the FJ shop.)
I cut a strip of the Bold Stripes paper to go across the bottom of each page. I love that this paper has a little bit of each colour from the kit so that it helps to tie in all the other elements I add to the spread.
I also stamped the word “dinner” along the bottom of each weekday column. I love that this allows me to plan out what we’ll be having for dinner each day!
For the March title I used the Reagan Alphabet Stamps and Metal Dies to create the letters for the word, then adhered them at the top left of the first page and added stitching across the middle for a little texture.
I used the new ‘Today’ stamp set to add “to-do” to the Tuesday column, and the shadow stamp over the top using yellow ink to highlight it. I then used the lines stamp from the Jaimee stamp set underneath. The lines stamp was a fraction too wide for the column so I simply masked it off using a sticky note before stamping, then peeled the sticky note away to reveal perfectly sized lines.
I used the “important” stamp in the Wednesday column and added three small checkmark circles underneath. The “important” word was also highlighted using the shadow stamp and yellow ink.
On the left of the first page I created a little cluster using a die cut tag, some fussy cut flowers from the floral patterned paper in the kit, then I added a stamp from the Jill stamp set using a foam dot. A little bit of stitching was also added the edge of the page along the tag.
On the other page I created another to-do list with lines in the Thursday column. At the bottom right I added the circular ‘home’ die cut layered on top of some more fussy cut flowers. Stitching was added to this too.
All I had to do then was punch the holes along the edge of each page using my 6 hole punch so I could slip them into my binder.
You can see my process in the video below...
I’m really enjoying the process of decorating these planner pages in my Note to Self Binder! I love that I’m using up some of my pretty stash to do it too. So fun!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
