Ooh, I do enjoy settling down to a good pocket page spread, don't you? All those little empty pockets, just waiting to be filled with pretty things!
And when the products you're working with were designed by you? My goodness, that's a joy!
I left behind any notions of white space minimalism with this one... I wanted to cram it with fun and colour.
I tend to start a spread like this by laying down all the photos and journalling cards that I want to use. I don't work weekly or even monthly, but more as and when I've got the urge to flex a different scrappy muscle.
I like to work on all my cards at once, building them up bit by bit so that no area is over-worked or too bare.
I can never resist a shaker pocket and the sequins in the kit are just such gorgeous shades, that I'm now making shaker pockets everywhere - in my planner, my Bible...
This card is my very favourite shade of blue! It's the exact colour of my bridesmaid dresses (if I hadn't had to have worn white, I'd have joined them!)
I like to keep my journalling very simple - just enough to remind me what this time in our lives was like (though perhaps it goes without saying that I like, "pretty colours"!)
