Hey FJ friends, Anne here with another layout made with the wonderful August kit. I made something I do very rarely - a layout without a photo. Just journaling. We have had this dream of our own house for years. But it's still not real. So there are no photos, but a lot of thoughts. Why not try making a layout with 'right now' journaling?
I started with the idea of a big journaling spot. I used the sunset paper as my background and layered the text, printed on some vellum, onto it. I have this border punch that looks like a notebook edge. I love to create a little extra detail with it. You could also rip your paper to create a new look.
I love black acrylic paint to create some background effects. This time I stamped some slim stripes on my page. Just dip a ruler into some paint and stamp it on your page. Easy. I used some of the Jeana stamps to decorate the stripes a little bit.
This little puffy house... I had to use it for my page, it's so cute. I used one of the beautiful FJ packages and layered some bits and pieces on it. The white filigree flowers make a great contrast on the black stripes.
The packaging is also an interactive element. I wrote my title on the inside and the scalloped border covers some of the journaling.
Have you ever created a layout without a photo? What was your main focus on this layout? I would love to see your no-photo-layouts.
