Our Favorite Guy Scrapbook Layout | Suzanna Stein

Hey crafty friends, Suzanna here! I’m so excited to be back on the inspiration page today, sharing this layout I created with the Jeana kit and a few of the new essential products!

I started with a piece of white card stock and added a strip of patterned paper down the side for extra color. I backed my photo with a piece of the solid yellow paper from the kit, then messily layered pieces of tissue paper behind the yellow. I used the polka dot tissue paper the FJ kits come wrapped in and love the subtle pop of black it brings to the layout.

With this page, I was focusing on a way to make those fun chipboard alphas pop against my white background. Since they are the focus of my layout, I decided they would take up the majority of the page.

Using acrylic paint, I mixed a few colors that matched the color palette of the Jeana kit. Then, I painted large swatches of the colors under my photo. I eyeballed the amount of space my alphas would need, and using a paint brush, painted messy strokes to create the swatches.

Once the paint was dry, I layered the chipboard alphas over the top, and just as I thought, they totally popped against the bold colors!

In the top corner of my photo, I added a label from the die cut pack to hold my date. Using the new roller date stamp, I added my date, then layered a miniwide paperclip that I added fabric to, over the top.

I finished the layout with embellishment clusters and splatters of gold craft mist.

This layout was so fun to put together, and I really love the way it turned out. There are so many possibilities with the simple alphas that come in the Jeana kit, and I can’t wait to see what you do with them!

Be sure to tag your FJ projects on Instagram using the hashtag #FelicityJane so we can all see them!
