I took the Ledger side of the Pinstripe & Ledger paper from the Brooke kit and cut it down to a 6x8 sheet. I stamped a yellow pattern on the background and then added the sentiment "worth it" from the Brie stamp set. I roughed up the edges with a nail file and folded up a corner. I wanted the rainbow stripes to show just a little, so I stapled it up.
Next I printed a photo and started arranging the layout. I used a journal card from the Brooke digital kit and typed in the colored areas a journal note that reads "this month we are eating the rainbow of food and saying no to processed food and yes to our future". I thought that went nicely with the rainbow on the card. I printed the card and cut it down to 2-1/2" wide and placed it next to the photo.
Next I went through my pile of Brie chipboard flair and picked out a piece that I thought fit well with this layout. I pulled up another one of the Brie journal cards from the digital kit and filled in some of the information. Then I printed the card and cut out the rectangles to add them individually to my layout. I really like to cut up my journal cards sometimes and use them as embellishments on my layouts.
Once everything was arranged on the page, I adhered everything with some adhesive. Then I added a few stars from the Brooke kit and a couple of staples to finish off the page. When I was done with this part it felt like it still needed something bold, so I took some black puffy alphabet letters and created the title "our health". It was the perfect finishing touch!
Thanks for stopping by!
