Our Wonder | Anne Keller

Hello everyone,

Anne here with a brand new project for you. I'm so excited to finally hold Bailey in my hands. She's so so pretty. I think this will be one of my all time favorite kits. The color scheme, the gold foil accents, all the beautiful bits and pieces... I hope you were lucky enough to get one too.

We experienced a wonder in the last months. As a family we dreamed of and prayed for an own house since years. I think the first time my husband and I shared this dream is more than 10 years ago. We worked hard to save money, build our family and to finish my medical school in the last years. And as soon as I signed my labor contract last fall, we found our house. Or it found us. With everything we dreamed of. A big garden, a lot of space, old fruit trees (and even my one and only favourite apple tree) and a beautiful big house near our actual home town with school and kindergarten. We got this house without an agent (so we saved a lot of money) and the people who lived there before us decided to charge only a low price and gifted us a lot of tools on top. I still can't believe this. Since a few days the whole property belongs to us and we're super excited to discover every corner and make a lot of plans. It's such a great gift of God after all the years of waiting. So it was a must to create a project with our first photo of the house.

I used a 3x8 pocket and one of my favorite papers as my title page. Really simple - I put the paper in the pocket and glued everything else on top. I love the dimension. For this story I needed a lot of hearts. So the epoxy heart sticker sheet was the perfect embellishment for my project.

I designed my whole page like a waterfall. Instead of cardstock I used a packaging - the scalloped border is too cute. And the one of the alpha sheet had the perfect size. A journaling card on top of the page with a layered photo of our house on it. I love to add a binder clip to my layer staples. They have the perfect size to create a little eye-catcher. And I'm in love with the chipboards. On the dark area of my photo I put a felt heart. I helps to make the layout lighter.

I printed some thoughts on vellum and folded it several times. It's an easy way to create a semi-hidden journaling or help to place a big journaling element on your page. After that the stamp and some pastel hearts to finish the page. I glued a border strip over the text of the packaging. It's that simple.

I'm excited to see your Bailey creations. All the hearts in the kit are great to journal about a 'heart project'. Share your projects with us #felicityjane.

Have a great day!
