Hi FJ friends!
I'm so happy to be another day here on the blog with you. Today, I want to share this layout using the beautiful Amanda collection. It's impossible not to fall in love with her. I think it's so delicate and elegant, but still very summery. I can't stop making projects with the Amanda kit! Let me explain the details of this page.
As soon as I saw the Lemons & Stripes paper, I knew I had to fussy cut those lemons for a layout. Lemons always remind me of summer. I used a picture of my girls having a picnic, so that was the title. I made it with the Lola chipboard alphabet and the gorgeous Amanda puffy alphabet (one of my favorites ever). I used one of the stamps from the Amanda stamp set on the left and the cute cactus from the chipboard bits on the right. Below the title, I also put a green heart from the puffy shapes.
In the center of the page, I put a wide strip of the Gingham & Bows paper. I think it matches perfectly with the lemons and the picnic theme. I took the border strip of this paper and glued it on top. At the bottom of the gingham paper, I placed a scallop strip from the green solid paper. I also did a machine stitching to give more texture to the page.
With all the lemons that I fussy cut, I made a cascade, placing them in small groups and raising a few lemons with foam dots to add more dimension. The right side was the perfect spot for the die cut garland.
I thought that the lemons needed something more. So I stamped a bunch of little pink flowers with the stamp set on white cardstock. Then, I fussy cut and scattered them between the lemons. I love how cute they look and the pop of pink that they give to the design. In one of those lemon clusters, I also put a tab from the die cuts.
With the Dots & Tabs paper, I matted my photo. On top of it, I stacked the die cut with the word "today" with one of the flowers that I stamped.
Finally, on the lower left corner, I made a little cluster because I feel there was too much white. I used two lemons and a little pink stamped flower. On top of the lemons, I glued this little tag from the die cuts, where I stamped one of the phrases from the stamp set (one of my favorites too).
I love how it turned out. Seriously, I could be using Amanda forever. I hope you like this page too and gives you some inspiration. Have a great week and enjoy the summer!
