I am so happy to show you another scrapbooking page with the wonderful Tori Birthday kit! This kit has amazing colors and patterns and it is so much fun! I am so in love with the floral and the grid patterned paper and the super cute Die Cut Alphabet - these are probably my favorite items. I made a birthday page from my sons 4th birthday in May. In times of Covid-19 it was so important for us to make him a wonderful day. He only invites his best friend for his first kids birthday party and we celebrate the whole afternoon. The first activity on the agenda was a treasure hunt in the garden of the grand parents. He had a treasure map and in the end they had to burrow the treasure chest filled with sweets and little presents. This was so much fun and we have wonderful pictures of it. Maybe you think Felicity Jane doesn't work with pirates and boys birthday parties… but it does!
I wanted to use the wonderful grid patterned paper "Confetti & Grid" for the background and I didn’t want to lose the cute Paper strip with the colorful stripes. So I cut a small paper strip from the top to have a 12x12 page in the end. I fussy cut some of these beautiful roses from the blue floral paper "Floral & Hearts" and glued the biggest one on my page. Then I added my two pictures - one color image and one in black and white - a little bit under the roses.
I wanted to add the pirates theme and searched for a cut file. I found a pirate ship and so I cut the ship from some Essentials White Cardstock with my electronic cutting machine and backed the boat with the solid papers from the Tori Paper Pack in blush, mint and green. I glued this ship with 3 D dots on the right side beside my pictures and glued the number "4" from the fantastic Die Cut Alphabet in mustard in the boat.
Then I had the idea to make a little string banner with the cute scalloped and colorful Tori tag and the mini tags from the Tori Die Cut Shapes under the pirate ship. I made a hole in the roses under my pictures and used another one to punch a hole into. I used black twine and knotted it on the right rose and made a bow on it. Then I added different tags on it, also a chipboard tag from the Amanda collection and the Jill collection, and used 3 D dots to glue them directly on the page so they couldn’t change their position. At the end I knotted it on the other rose - also with a hitch and a bow - and glued it on the right border of the paper. I cut the overlapping paper with my scissors on the border.
For the title I used the cute Tori Puffy Alphabet in this wonderful mint green color and the cute and thin Amanda Puffy Alphabet in black. I glued a rose on the paper border on the bottom and glued the title in two words and in two lines over the striped border. I typed the journaling and printed it out. Then I cut it and glued it on the big roses and under the pictures.
Then I began to decorate the page. I used a miniwide paper clip in mustard, which matches perfectly to the Tori collection, on the black and white picture. I glued a little rose under this part of the picture, too. I used the green little photo corner from the Tori Die Cut Shapes and glued it on the left edge on the top of this black and white picture. Then I used the Tori Puffy Stickers "Remember" and "This Day" and glued it on the right image above. I added two Amanda Chipboard Bits: the camera under the left picture and the star in dark navy on the ship. Here I also used 3 D dots to add some dimension.
At the end I added here and there some of the cute and versatile Jenny Word Stickers with the birthday theme. I used my FJ Roller Date stamp to add the date and then I finished off the page with the colorful Tori Epoxy Dots and the cute acrylic confetti from last years birthday collection Jenny.
