Planner Bookmark | Anita Patel

Hey there! Anita here and I'm back this week to share a quick and easy project. As I mentioned previously, I absolutely love sweet Jane in this month's kit. In addition to this month's main kit, I also got an add-on paper pack which includes the cut-apart sticker sheet so I had an additional Jane to play with. I wanted to create something that I would see on a regular basis so I decided to create a bookmark/page marker for my planner. This is something you can create with kit scraps or leftovers after creating other projects and it's a fun way to keep stretching your kit.

As you may recall, last month I created a new set of planner dividers using the London kit. When I got this month's Jane kit, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well Jane worked with London. I selected paper and patterns that coordinated well with my London dividers to create my bookmark and I love how it turned out.

I designed the entire bookmark around Jane but also really liked the wood veneer sentiment "Just Be You". I thought it was a perfect reminder to see everyday in my planner. I placed the wood words above Jane and then cut out that beautiful black and white bow from the cut-apart sheet to use as a tab at the top of the bookmark. The cute bow sticks out of the top of my planner and provides an easy way for me to flip to the current week. I also added the floral branding strip from one of the patterned papers along the left side of my bookmark and then punched holes to fit in my planner.

The back of the bookmark is simple. The yellow pattern not only matched Jane's outfit on the front of the bookmark but also goes well with the other colors in my planner. I added the multi-colored star branding strip along the right side and then adhered the wood veneer "beautiful". Since this is the backside of my bookmark, I opted to keep it plain and simple.
