Hello everyone,
It is Jana here with more inspiration from the beautiful Sarah kit. I have already seen some of your projects and they are just amazing!
I have decided to use this kit to make a little pocket Traveler's Notebook for our spring trip to Copenhagen. I love scrapping on the go and always try to come back with a notebook packed with memories. I don't have a tiny printer but usually leave spaces to add the photos at home. And now how did I put the pocket notebook together?
I was really lucky to spot the blue square ribbon in the shop so I knew I had to have it and use it. The yellow tiles paper went for the cover and for the title I used the new Puffy Mint Alphabet. KODAN is Copenhagen in Czech (it is shorter and fits the label nicely).
As for the actual notebook, I alternated between white pages and colourful papers from the Sarah kit. It is all hand sewn in the middle (I think I can trust the stitching more than staples when the album is really full). The size of the notebook is 3.75x5.5 inch. On the first page I made a tiny envelope to fit there all the different tickets and cards.
I cut some longer papers to create pockets on the side. For labels and photos.
I also included some vellum paper. I love using vellum in my projects. I created the design by tracing the beautiful flowers on the blue paper with white marker. Such a cool effect! The puffy word BEAUTY fitted there nicely.
In the middle of the album I added some 3x4 cards and they are also sewn to the binder.
Plus a nice pocket. I love all these interactive elements.
Here is the other part of vellum. This time with the puffy word SMILE and a yellow label from the Die Cuts.
And another pocket created by adding longer paper again, folding it and using the glue only on the sides.
I can't wait to use the Pocket Copenhagen book and fill it with happy holiday moments! Do you also like to scrap on the go?
Thank you for being here with me and see you soon. Until next time!

Hi Cathy, thank you for you sweet comment. The ribbon is glued in between the papers of the cover. I wanted to make it more sturdy so I glued two together and the ribbon went in between :) hope this helps. Jana
I adore this little notebook you designed. How did you attach the ribbon?
