Hello FJ friends!
While I’m eagerly waiting for the gorgeous new Brooke Kit to arrive I’ve been playing with the Brooke Digital Kit…so fun! I love that you can access the digital goodies straight away and it’s so great to be able to add text to journaling cards before you print, resize things to suit your project and print out as many bits and pieces as you like. Gotta love that!
Today I have a pocket page spread to share with you…
I started out by printing a variety of the journaling cards from the kit, along with a selection of the ephemera.
For the first card I stitched around the edge of the rainbow striped card, then added a yellow heart with the ‘true story’ title and stitched them into place. I finished it with the yellow ‘today’ ephemera from the Alexis digital kit that I had already printed in my stash.
I added some text to the ‘THIS’ card before printing, added a little stitching, some staples, a yellow chipboard arrow from the FJ Summer Kit and the date stamp. I also added some text to the yellow label ephemera and stapled it to the photo.
For the second page in my spread I couldn’t wait to use the cute cloud card!
When I cut this card out after printing, I made sure to cut it so there was a nice space at the bottom for adding a phrase. I stitched around the card then added the phrase ephemera with some foam tape. I used another yellow label to stamp the date onto and stapled it to the photo next to the cloud card.
For the next photo I chose some ephemera die cuts to staple in the top left corner. Text was added to the black label before printing which I layered onto the banner piece and a ‘YES’ circle die cut from the ‘Alexis’ digital kit. To finish the spread, I added text to the yellow ‘note to self’ card before printing then stamped the date and added a little stitching.
You can see my process in the video below…
Have you tried the digital kits yet? I hope I’ve inspired you to have a play!
If you do we’d love to see what you create! Be sure to use #fjdigitals and #felicityjane when you post on Instagram so we can check it out!
