Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! I love using Felicity Jane products in my journaling Bible since they are so pretty and girly. It’s so easy to pull together products from different collections and put together an entry without having to think about the products so you can focus on the Bible verse/s. I like to add some kind of color medium to my Bible pages before laying down any elements so for this page I started with a soft blue ink blended onto the background and added some stamped butterflies from the Brie | Stamp Set. This is a super soft effect that adds a little interest to the background without conflicting with the elements on the page.
I almost always include a bold title on my Bible pages so it’s easy to get a quick idea of what the verse takeaway is for me. For this entry, I used one of the Lola 6x6 papers to die cut some alphas and mixed them with the Lola | Chipboard Alpha. I prefer white alphas, like the Lola set, so that I can customize them with markers or paints to match my project.
I’ve been hoarding the Jeana | Flocked Stickers...waiting for the perfect project to use them on. I brushed a powder tool over the back to remove the stickiness so that it’d be easier to cut different Felicity Jane patterned papers to fill in behind the florals. This was a very tedious thing to do but it gave me time to to really reflect and think about the verse that I was journaling.
“But I will sing of your strength and will joyfully proclaim your faithful love in the morning. For you have been a stronghold for me, a refuge in my day of trouble. To you, my strength, I sing praises, because God is my stronghold - my faithful God.”
Psalm 59:16-17
I love that there were some tabs in the Lola | Die Cut Shapes that I could use for marking Bible journaling entries! I paired the green tab with some Grid Washi, a die cut tag, and one of the Jeana | Tassel Bows for the top of the page.
There was some space to the right of the verse I was journaling so I made a cluster out of some Felicity Jane chipboard pieces and a label with the Essentials | Mini Puffy Alphabet. This particular Bible is coil bound so I can use lots of dimensional pieces and not worry about it getting too chunky.
I love how this entry came together and I’m glad that I saved some of my favorite pieces (like the Jeana | Flocked Stickers) to use in my Bible. Check out the process video to see how this entry came together.
