Hello crafty friends!
Jana here with my first project using the beautiful Megan May kit. The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful rainbow and I knew straightaway that I was going to use this kit to document my daughter's birthday party which happened to be in rainbow colours! Yay! (It's so good that scrapbooking trends follow the children's favourites too!)
Today I will show you a pocket page. I always find it difficult to choose from so many photos (and from a birthday party you DO have lots of photos!) and the pockets help me to use most of them. I am thinking about putting together an extra layout (using this wonderful kit, of course).
As you can see I used few photos to fit the pockets. I like using big photos even though it leaves me less space to use all the pretty decorations. Still, I decorated one with the puffy alphabet which has an absolutely brilliant font. I have been working with many alphabets using cursiva but this one for me is just the best!
These little cute flags! I used them to create a banner and gave it a bit of dimension by adhering it to foam squares.
As for the cards. Since this pocket page protector has a bit of an unusual design I couldn't use many of the journaling cards from the kit. So I made my own by trimming the 6x6 Megan paper pack. I prefer using small paper for pocket pages - the pattern is usually tinier and cuter.
I can't live without labels! I love using them everywhere! And now I have fallen in love with these tiny tags! How cute are they?
Thank you so much for being here with me today and I will see you next time. Enjoy the spring and creating with this beautiful Megan kit.
