Hello FJ fans,
It is Friday, yay! A Good Friday (aren't they all!) and Friday favourites. There are so many beautiful items in the wonderful Julia kit that deserve "a favourite" adjective but the stamp set seems to be the most popular. I also fell for it and the rainbow picture is what this blog post is going to be all about!
Unfortunately I don't have a wide range of coloured inks to match the amazing kit colours so I had to improvise a bit. I had dark pink, say magenta, light grey blue, lets say it might be mint from the kit, and fresh green which goes nicely with the photo but is perhaps a bit far from the nice dark green. I started stamping a variety of rainbows on white cardstock (6x8 inch layout) in a diagonal composition thinking I would just add the photo and embellish the layout. Then I spotted the black and white pattern paper which reminded me of rain (and there is no rainbow without rain, right), therefore I picked that one to be the background paper for my layout. I cut out all the rainbows from my white cardstock and simply scattered them in a somewhat diagonal composition around the photo.
Then it was time to play with all of the different layers and embellishments. I went for a journaling card to put under the photo, some solid colour paper and stamped DETAILS card. As for the title, I used the beautifully yellow puffy alphabet and black alphabet from Amanda kit. I love the font!
I used lots of die cut shapes and also some mini paper clips. These are such a great touch to any layout!
Well, this layout sure is a very colourful and bright one! Rainbows are definitely something we all need a lot these days, right? Thank you so much for being here with me today and have a lovely Easter!
