Hello everyone! It's Victoria and I am back with a new layout using items from a variety of Felicity Jane kits! Yep, you read that right. I took all of my 2017 kits (what's remaining of them) to create one big mega kit. This is a great way to fall in love with items from previous Felicity Jane kits, to get the maximum value from your kit purchases, and to exercise your creative mojo while waiting for your new kit to arrive.
Here's a quick sampling of my mega kit which features goodies from the Zoey, Caroline, Heidi, Summer, Kate, and Willow kits. Felicity Jane kits are beautifully designed to coordinate together. So, no matter which kit you are using, you can easily use items from past kits and still create a stunning layout. I began be sorting like items - pattern papers, solid card stock, embellishments, stickers, die cuts, washi, wood veneer and acrylic pieces. All of the elements are stored in clear scrapbooking organizers so I can quickly see what I have on hand. This mega kit will remain close to my scrapbooking desk so I can easily grab it when I am ready to make a layout or project!
Using my mega kit, here's what I created:
First, I wanted to create a tone-on-tone background - just to jazz things up a bit. I started with a solid piece of pink double sided card stock and added a subtle ink effect using the custom stencil from the Willow Kit and Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Spun Sugar) from my stash. Next, I created a layered cluster to include a photo of my spouse and daughter, 3x4 journal cards, and a tag from the Heidi Kit. To the tag I added a chip board number from the Zoey Kit, and a black phrase label ("about my day") from the Kate Kit. The title was created using the die cut word "daily" from the Kate Kit, a set of arrows from the Caroline cut a part sticker sheet, and a chipboard phrase ("Remember This") from the Summer Kit.
Rubber charms from the Caroline Kit and tiny little yellow arrows from the Caroline Bitty Puffy Shapes pack add interest and dimension to the layout.
To the bottom of the layout, I added a 1-inch piece of pattern paper, torn along the edge to create a bit of texture. Behind a small section of the strip, I added a die cut and a small yellow rubber heart embellishment from the Caroline kit. The date was stamped using a Heidi Swapp Roller Date Stamp and Versa Fine Black Ink. To finish the layout, I sprinkled Heidi Swapp Color Shine mist (Black Velvet) toward the top and bottom of the layered cluster.
I hope you are inspired to create a mega kit of you own! Thanks for stopping by!
