Hi friends! Mandy here with another traveler’s notebook spread using beautiful Heidi kit! As soon as I saw this kit, I fell in love with the stunning colour palette and the gorgeous florals, and I knew that I just had to create a page using that floral patterned paper!
I documented a photo of my eldest daughter Abigail and I, taken when we were on vacation earlier this year. I wanted to record how much I really enjoy her company and love spending time with her!
I started off my spread by covering the right hand page with that gorgeous floral paper. I then added another strip of it, as well as two of the branding strips off the papers, down the edge of the left hand page. I know I’ve said it before, but I LOVE those scallop branding strips off the solid color papers in the FJ kits!
I printed my photo a little larger than I normally would for a TN spread, so that it could overlap onto the left hand page. I matted it using the light pink patterned paper from the kit, and I also added one of the journaling cards behind the photo as a layer. I added a couple of the circular die cut shapes around the photo – one on the bottom right hand side, which I adhered with foam tape, and one tucked under the top edge of the photo.
Lastly I created a cluster in the top left hand corner of the spread, which gives the page a diagonal design, drawing your eye from the cluster on the left hand side down to the photo on the right. Included in the cluster is the die cut that says ‘remember’, and I used this as the title for my spread. I also layered a floral die cut on top, once again adhering it with foam tape for some extra dimension!
Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! I hope that you’re enjoying creating with the beautiful Heidi kit as much as I am!
