Hi! Dannielle here, and I am so excited that it is finally March. It's one of my favorite months of the year, probably because it's my birthday day month. My layout today focuses on another favorite of mine... my cute hubby!
Here is a look at my finished layout.
One of my favorite papers from the London kit was one that looked almost like graph paper. I knew I wanted to use a big chunk of it on a layout so that is where I started on this page. As much as I wanted to create on that sheet of paper, I also knew that I needed a nice white background to place my photo and journaling on. So I cut a much smaller square from white cardstock to create on. I love the thick border that those two squares create on this page.
Behind my photo I decided to layer a few scraps that I had left over from other layouts that I had already made with this kit. I didn't think about this process too much, and I really like the way it turned out.
After I had my layers in place, I thought I would use some foam adhesive to pop up my photo and give this layout some dimension. My foam adhesive was pretty thick and it gave much more dimension than I was used too, but I still really liked it.
After I had my photo in place, I could move on to embellishing my layout. I used a few banners from the kit's cut apart sheet to create a little cluster in the top right hand corner of my photo. I finished it off my placing a chipboard triangle on top! Love that little detail.
I then created another cluster in the lower left hand side of my photo by using some cut apart hearts and one of the white enamel hearts. I am having a hard time not hoarder those enamel hearts and starts!!
The last thing I had to do was jot down my journaling. I used the "right now" stamp from this months stamp set as a jumping off point for my story.
A few weeks ago my daughter went to her first friend sleep over which was such an exciting thing for her. Of course my hubby and I took full advantage of some kid free time. While I was sitting at the table eating dinner I couldn't help but think about how "right now" in our life things are changing and our little girl is growing up faster then I want her too. My husband and I have more time to spend together, just the two of us. I do welcome the extra time with my love with open arms, but I am also a bit sad because that means our little girl needs us just a little bit less each day that passes. Our "right now" is starting to look a little different then it used too.
This layout came together pretty fast, because it is pretty simple. I am super happy with it though.
Thanks so much for spending a little chunk of your time with me today!
