Hello everyone!
Today I'd like to share another layout created with the lovely Willow Kit. I decided to go with a grid design for this page.
I selected two patterned papers and a striped journaling card from the kit and cut them to the same size as my photo. After working out where I'd like to position them I used a ruler and pencil to mark a grid for stitching a border.
My paper squares were adhered into place and I used my sewing machine to stitch around each one. The photo was adhered using foam tape to add dimension and to help make it the focus of the page.
For the striped square I used a circle punch to cut a scripted journaling card to fit, adhered it with foam squares and added a puffy bow sticker. To finish of the pink square I simply added a die cut heart with a foam dot and messy thread underneath.
For the yellow square I layered two die cuts and added a puffy camera sticker above them. A cute little oval paper clip from the kit finished it off on the top right corner.
Some flowers were fussy cut from one of the other patterned papers in the kit and layered onto the bottom right of the photo. A yellow tab was tucked under the right of the photo and I stamped the date onto a little white tag from my stash stapled it into position.
The gorgeous puffy alphabet were used to create my title and I added a little blue puffy heart sticker between the words for added colour and contrast. My journaling was printed using my computer and favourite font 'traveling_typewriter' and I added a little line of machine stitching on either side. I stamped 'shine on' from the Willow stamp set at the bottom of the page to finish it off.
This layout was so fun to create! I hope you've enjoyed seeing how I put it together. I'll be back on the blog soon with more projects to share!
