Happy Friday! Today I'm showing how I documented the royal wedding! This week is all about celebrations on the Felicity Jane blog, so what better celebration to document than Meghan & Harry's wedding.
The first thing I did was create the Union Jack with some solids. First I cut a 6x8 piece of cardstock down in dark gray for the base. Then I cut the stripes. I didn't do any exact measurements, so don't fret if you're trying to recreate this page. I just did two wide bands and two narrow bands of each color on the dark base.
Next I picked out a few embellishments that I wanted to use to document the date, express a sentiment on how I felt about the ceremony, and just some bits and pieces to add to the elegance of the page. I wanted gold touches, so I put washi stickers and a gold paperclip.
I have an instax printer, so I printed a copy of this wedding photo that I found on the internet. When my husband saw it he said "the instax makes it look like you were actually at the wedding!" *laugh* A girl can dream! This can be printed on photo paper, but I just chose instax because I love the look of it.
Once everything was laid out and in place, it felt like it needed more. So I added a few enamel dots and some of the butterflies from the Brie kit to the layout. I feel like they add a nice finishing touch to this project.
Some washi stickers an an enamel dot on the instax and I wrapped up this layout. I'll place it in a 6x8 sleeve in my 12x12 project life album as an insert for the week!
