Happy Tuesday Felicity fans! Nancy here today with another look at the Reagan kit. This time let's mix it up a bit and combine a traditional layout and some pocket pages. The photo on the left is one of my favorite from a trip to Old Town in San Diego. And while I love it, it really doesn't tell the complete story of the day. It's combo page to the rescue! On the left, a highlighted photo and some design fun and on the right, the meat of the story and more photos!
To create this little banner of hearts, use white floss and anchor with two velvet bows. Then add heart chipboard shapes, vellum hearts, and enamel crosses underlining the photo.
This highlights the photo and adds a soft, pretty touch to the design. The title was added right in the photo to draw more attention to the kids in the center. A few lines of stamped text finishes off the layout.
Moving along to the pocket side of the design, embellish a few squares with the sewn vellum hearts from the Reagan kit. I love how they add just a bit of dimension and shape to the cards. The trick is to keep is clean and simple in a very pale palette like this one.
A few labels stacked (and taped together on the back) filled up one pocket with a splash of color and an interesting shape. The journaling was added to one square with a few lines of stamped text in the center to complete the design.
Take a look at the Reagan kit the next time you have multiple photos to scrap. It's a great kit for telling a story!
