"School Walks" Pocket Page | Desiree Lamar

Hello Friends,

My name is Desiree and I am so happy to be here for my first Felicity Jane project. Today I have a pocket page layout using the Gabby and the Julia Collections. I thought the Julia collection would be perfect to record our first walk home from school in over a year. I was amazed when I realized the Gabby collection was a perfect match.



I knew I wanted to start this project with this beautiful blue plaid patterned paper from the Julia Collection. I then added a pocket I made using a patterned paper from the Gabby collection. I used the soft yellow Julia puffy alphas to make my title “School Walks”. The color of the alphas popped against the lovely blue paper.



Then I used the pocket to add pictures and journaling. I added tags from the Gabby die cuts to make the pictures interactive and easy to pull out.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Julia stamp set onto an essentials label that I used to layer under my pocket. To complete my pocket, I placed a lovely flower and heart. I finished off this page by adding epoxy dots, die cut shapes, and chipboard hearts from both collections.



Next, I chose two beautifully patterned journaling cards, a floral pattern, and a mustard, plaid pattern. I selected simple embellishments to finish them off. I did not want to upstage the patterns. One of my favorite embellishments was this rainbow that worked perfectly with the mustard card from the Gabby collection. Last, I added embellishments to my pictures.
