Self-Love TN Layout | Sarah Zayas
Hello, Everyone!
Today I'd like to share a Traveler's Notebook (TN) spread with you using the beautiful Lindsey kit!
Last summer I decided that for every month I would like to put together a TN insert that would document my personal stories from that month. I like to document my personal stories in my Project Life album as well, but sometimes the smaller details like what I'm reading, watching, working on, and feeling don't make it into my pocket page albums. I'm totally okay with that, but at the same time I don't won't to lose my personal stories either- that's where my personal TN comes in. In a way, it's kind of like a diary- holding these little stories that mean so much. Sometimes I like to spend time making pretty pages in my TN (like the page I'm sharing today :) , but often it's enough to just get a photo and words written out.
One thing that I'm determined to do every month is get at least one photo of myself into my notebook. Sounds easy, right? Well, for me it definitely isn't! Don't get me wrong, I like a good selfie, but I just like to have at least one other person in the photo with me! Anyways, this has been a good challenge for me every month, and I'd love to challenge you to do the same. As memory keepers I think we always gravitate towards being behind the camera, but story is about you too after all!
For this page I started by cutting down some pattern paper to fit both sides of my TN. Normally I like some white space, but these patterns were just to fun not to fill up the entire spread with them! Next, I started layering some scraps of paper under my photo. This is a great place to use those gorgeous branding strip pieces! I also layered some die cuts and some pieces I had cut using the corresponding die cut set this month! I also used the Scripty Months stamp to stamp out January on a label. I have a feeling this stamp set is going to be one of my most used sets this year.
I kept my journaling really simple by typing it up on one of the 3x4 journaling cards in the kit, and then added a tab to the top and stuck a piece of washi tape on the bottom.
I'm so happy with how this layout turned out, and really proud of myself for spending so much time making this selfie layout special!
