Hello FJ friends! Anne here with a new layout made with the lovely Brooke kit. I love the bright colors and the cute embellishments in this kit.
For this layout I wanted to put the focus on the Designer Vellum Pack. The little squares are fab.
I had this picture of my daughter with this big black background and it was perfect to put my title on it. The pink alphas really pop.
If the die cuts don't fit to my page, I try to customize them. In this case I hid the word 'not' and only showed the word 'today'. With the 'this' arrow it makes a nice subtitle.
What I love about grids: you can embellish all the squares. Every single one. I added a little paper strip with rounded corners on one of the squares and stamped the date on it. Another square was decorated with the crepe paper trim and some of these cute puffy shapes. I cut out some of the clouds and used them as an embellishment. Another square is decorated with die cuts. Because my printer broke down last week I couldn't add some journaling, but I will add some sentences as soon as we get a new one. I leave some of the places empty to make the layout look a little bit lighter. Instead of a vellum square I added one of the stamp phrases. I think you get it: With a grid layout you have the chance to embellish every little square in another creative way.
