Simple Cards | Lindsey Lanning

Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! My craft space has looked a little different recently...less papercrafting and more face mask sewing. I’m sending out masks to friends and family and of course wanted to add a little handmade card to the package. Keep reading to see how I put together some simple 3"x4" cards to go in the packages that I’m sending off this week.

These cards were super quick to create and I only needed a few supplies. Not pictured are a piece of Essentials White Cardstock, a piece of Essentials Grid Paper, and some foam adhesive dots.

I first stamped out the pieces of the rainbow stamp onto a 6” square piece of Essentials White Cardstock. I used a stamp positioning tool and rotated my cardstock so that I could mass produce these cards quicker. You can stick with traditional rainbow colors or, do like I did, and just choose some inks that match the papers I’m using.

After stamping out all the rainbows, I fussy cut them and added some foam adhesive dots to the back of them.

For a simple sentiment, I used the new Typewriter Alphabet Stamp to stamp out “hello” on some of the labels that I fussy cut from the label paper in the Grace Collection. That paper is sold out but you could also substitute some labels from the various Felicity Jane die cut pieces.

You could also use alphabet stickers for your sentiment like I did on these labels.

For the card bases, I cut down some patterned paper to 3”x4”. I added the gold scallop washi about 2.5” down the card, and then layered a 1.5” piece of contrasting patterned paper to the bottom of the card.

Since I already had my sewing machine out, I went ahead and added some messy stitching to the perimeter of the card. I then added my rainbows and labels using foam adhesive and also added a miniwide paperclip for some extra embellishments. I didn’t take a picture of the backs but I just adhered a 3”x4” piece of grid paper to the back so I would have a place to write to the recipient.

That’s it! These cards were super simple and would be easy to recreate using any of the Felicity Jane collections if you need some quick cards to send out to people.

Until next time!
<3 Lindsey
