Hello sweet friends, today we're talking POCKETS! Pocket pages are my love and how I do all of my weekly family documenting so I'm excited to share how I add extra fun to my inserts.
The Felicity Jane kits always provide freedom with the cards and patterned paper so embellishing them can be fun and simple!
Here are 6 fun tips for making your pocket cards extra awesome!
One: Use an image and phrase from the stamp set to fill up a card and top with a tab.
Two: Hang a frame or chipboard shape off the edge to add interest. I added the weekly details inside and outside the frame!
Three: Layer patterns on patterns like I did with the polka dot paper and the plaid heart. As long as the colors and patterns contrast, it won't look too busy!
Four: Don't toss the edges you cut off! Use them on another card like I did with the leftover polka dot frame. I added some embellishments to make it feel balanced and it can stand alone.
Five: Use a chipboard frame to actually frame a small photo then stamp a BIG title under it.
Six: Make your own title card using a combination of alphas, die cuts and stamps. Remember that they don't necessarily have to form a complete sentence, phrases that make your statement totally work!
Here is a look at how all of the colors, photos and cards are working together!
Even if you don't work in pockets, these same ideas can be used when decorating your layouts or notebook spreads. I love how easily the colors and embellishments work together and I hope you find fun ways to make them uniquely yours!
Thanks for watching! Until next time!
Andrea
