Hello everyone!
Tiffany here with a fun grid layout showcasing some photos I took while having a mini photoshoot at home. As it goes, I didn't intend to use all of the photos on one layout, but I printed a few 2x2 in size and just couldn't resist plopping them all onto the page!
So I began by cutting down some of my favorite papers from the Grace kit to roughly a 2x2 size. I actually matted my square photos onto some mint cardstock, then cut all of my pattern papers down to that mat size. My squares weren't perfect, but that's okay. I ended up roughing them up a bit along the edges, so you can't even notice.
Placing all of my squares was a bit challenging. I eventually decided to cut down the white cardstock and use that pink on pink diamond pattern paper as a lovely border around it. Once I had that in place, I measured 2 inches from the edge of the white cardstock and made sure to place my squares evenly within that box, 2 inches from the edges. I tacked everything down very lightly with some double-sided tape before taking the layout to my sewing machine and adding some white stitching around the pattern paper squares. Once I had everything adhered well, I roughed up the edges of the papers and began embellishing!
I started by adding just the black and white embellishments from the kit onto the page. I knew I wanted to use the "smile" die cut piece as my title. I paired it with the word "love" in the mint alpha stickers. I layered them on top of that swiss dot tag from the ephemera pack. I was missing a square there and knew I wanted the tag to stick out a bit in that place. I grabbed some mint ribbon from my stash and added it to the tag, embellishing it with a little puffy flower sticker.
I practically emptied out my entire packet of chipboard bits onto this layout! I used them mostly to add a bit of flair to my photos. I even used two of the colored ones as a subtile to the very brief journaling I added to the page. I layered those on top of a label I fussy cut from that wonderful label paper, which I embellished with a bit of mint ribbon and a mint epoxy heart from the Lindsey Kit.
The chipboard pieces there read out to say "remember this," so I jotted down a little affirmation for myself to remember. "You are beautiful, you are strong, you are worthy." Sometimes we forget these things and I know for myself, it helps to take a moment to remind myself of these things.
To finish off the layout, I filled in some of the spaces with a few of the black and white Grace puffy stickers and a few pieces from the Bailey kit. I'm rather pleased at how this layout turned out!
Definitely check out the process video below to get a better idea at how this layout came together. I really hope you enjoy!
