Smile | Mandy Melville

Hi friends! Mandy here with you today to share a layout that I created using the beautiful Caroline kit!

This kit was perfect for documenting this gorgeous photo of my eldest daughter! I often find selfies like this one that she's taken on my phone, and I love it! All the more photos for me to scrap!

I started my page off by matting my white cardstock background on the aqua & white pinstripe patterned paper. I then cut a large triangle out of the coral sketchy dot paper and adhered it to the bottom left hand corner of the page. I added a smaller triangle of the same paper in the top right hand corner. This gives the page a diagonal flow, drawing the viewer's eye back down to the photo rather than wandering off the page.

Under the left hand side of the photo, I tucked one of the pretty die cut tags, as well as a flower that I fussy cut from the large floral patterned paper. I completed the cluster with a flair button, and one of the cute hearts from the packet of silicone charms.

The die cut word 'smile' was the perfect title for this layout! I added some foam tape underneath it to give it some extra dimension, and I love how this looks! You can also see here that I tucked another fussy cut flower underneath the right hand side of the photo.

On the top right hand corner of the photo I added one of the little banners from the die cut pack, as well as a second banner that I made out of one of the strips on the sticker sheet. I finished them off with a gorgeous white leatherette bow from the kit. How sweet are these bows?!!

I knew that I had to include Caroline on my layout because something about her reminds me of my daughter! I think it's her sprinkling of freckles and her gorgeous long hair. Also her pose makes me think that she's sweet, but also a little bit sassy, just like my gorgeous girl! I'm so glad that I found a spot for her on this page!

Up in the top right hand corner of the layout I created a little cluster that includes a die cut label as well as one of the cute phrases from the silicone charms pack, and a little fussy cut flower.

To finish the layout off I added a couple more of the silicone hearts and a little bit of stamping using one of the stamps from the kit. Lastly I added my journaling and the date.
