Hello FJ friends!
I’m back on the blog today to share another Jaimee Kit project…this time a traveler’s notebook spread.
For the first page of this spread I chose the blue and green spotty paper for the background and cut it to size to fit into my FJ traveler’s notebook. The journaling was printed onto some plain white cardstock using my computer then I used the squiggly line stamp from the Jaimee stamp set across the top of the card.
I added some fringed pink paper and a piece of rainbow striped branding strip behind the bottom of the journaling card, some machine stitching then the floral die cut piece and Alexis Puffy Sticker title finished off this page.
For the second page I chose to use plain white paper for the background. My photos were printed to approximately 2 x 2 inches and I cut some more blue and green spotty paper to give the photos a nice border. I added some strips of the rainbow striped branding strip and pink patterned paper behind the top and bottom of the piece.
For extra texture I wound some twine around the middle in between the two photos, then added a little white tag from my stash. The tag was stamped with the same squiggly line stamp that I used on the journaling card and I added a little pink puffy heart sticker as well.
This photo piece was then adhered to the plain white background before adding some machine stitching. I stamped the word “together” from the FJ Essentials No 2 mini stamp set onto plain white cardstock and positioned it above the twine bow, then added the date to complete the spread.
Traveler’s notebook spreads are one of my favourite ways to document our memories. Have you tried memory keeping in this format? If you haven’t…why not give it a go? It’s always fun to change it up and try something new! You can find a great variety of notebooks in the FJ store with lots of pretty covers to choose from!
If you’d like to watch my process you can see it all in the video below…
Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today! I’ll see you again soon!
