So Happy Layout | Suzanna Stein

I've been in a bit of a crafting funk recently, friends. My creativity just hasn't been what it usually is and I've been struggling to feel inspired. I know we've all been there, so I thought I would share a few tips along with my layout!

When I initially saw the color scheme of this kit, I was so excited to document photos of my nephew. The bright cheery colors remind me of his happy personality, and I knew it would just be perfect.

Now, here are those tips I promised:

1. Just start somewhere. - For this layout, I knew I wanted to use the grey striped patterned paper as my background, and I knew which colors I wanted to incorporate. From there, I chose a photo and went with the flow for the rest! Sometimes getting started is the hardest part, but once you do, your creative juices get to flowing.

2. Let the products inspire you. - While I'm not feeling my most crafty right now, I knew that using FJ products I love would give me the push I needed to create a fun layout. With this one, I didn't have a plan, I just grabbed products from the kit that I was drawn to!

3. Have fun and enjoy the process. - Sometimes the easiest way to get out of a creative rut is to just have fun. Whether or not you love the outcome of the project you're working on, just enjoy getting crafty and don't worry about the rest!
