Hey friends, Suzanna here - I’m excited to be back on the blog today sharing a TN layout I created with the Henley kit, along with a few pieces from my FJ stash!
This layout came together super quickly, once I decided where I was going with it. First I used a piece of solid blush pink card stock from the Henley kit. I cut a scalloped border and made the paper larger than the TN insert, meaning that when I close my TN, the pretty pink scallop will poke out and still show.
Then I started with layers behind my photo. For this, I used patterned papers from the Henley kit, along with the polka dot tissue paper my kit was wrapped in. Keep in mind, most tissue paper is not acid free. So unless it is specifically stated, always assume it’s not. For me, this isn’t a problem (I’ll use it either way), so I layer it up!!
On the left page of the layout, I put a strip of the gorgeous floral patterned paper for a pop of color. Then, I ran a piece of the pom trim along the edge. Again, I layered this in a way that it will show when my TN insert is closed. I glued this down, but also added staples. I love the texture and dimension the trim and staples both give the layout!
Once the main pieces were down, the rest was super quick - I used various alphas and a puffy sticker to create my title, then outlined the word “Together” to make it pop against the blush background.
I added a few embellishments - die cuts, word stickers, and a wood veneer piece - then started on my favorite part of every layout... the clusters.
For the clusters on this layout, I used the epoxy dots in the colors that were in the patterned papers. Then of course, I finished it off with splatters of gold craft mist.
I really love the way this layout turned out! It’s one that would be super easy to scraplift too! If you’re up for the challenge, I’d love to see your take on this using your favorite FJ products!
