Hello there, amazing crafty friends! Can you believe that this is the last week of the year?! I’m a little flabbergasted about that, but I’m staying grounded by finishing up my December documenting. I’ve finally managed to get to the extra fun days to document, Christmas and Christmas Eve. I wanted to do an extra special page all about the prettiest gift ever. I got these amazing vintage diamond earrings for Christmas, and they are totally swoon-worthy, and I couldn’t wait to document all about them in my album!
For this pocket page spread, I pulled out the variety pack of sheet protectors. I chose a standard various size on the left side, but I fell in love with the 3x8 size. I knew it would be absolutely perfect for a big title along the edge. I pulled out those fabulous jumbo alpha die cuts and spelled out “Sparkle,” to perfectly title my spread. And my goodness, do those gorgeous earrings sparkle. I’m such a lucky lady. After I applied some red-liner tape to the back of my letters, along the edge, I went about randomly stitching each letter onto my sheet protector. I then stuffed the pocket full of the star sequin mix.
I layered on some fussy-cut florals and some of those amazing gold foil stars, to really let this pocket shine! I moved over to my left side now. I knew I wanted to match the color scheme from my “sparkle” pocket, so I began pulling some papers from the Coco collection. I chose the solid blue to really bring out the stars in the sequins mix. I chose to stitch around the edge to add even more character to a plain journaling card. This larger card was perfect for adding in my photo with some added dimension and another fussy-cut floral.
I pulled that fantastic “25” card with golden stars, to tie in the whole color scheme from my right side too. My final card was the card I planned to execute my journaling on. I layered on some stitched labels from the Coco Label Book. Three of them were perfect for giving this patterned paper journaling card lots of character. I nestled in another floral and a puffy sticker, to really give it a bunch of character. All that was left was to write in my journaling.
This pocket page spread was such fun for me to create. I’m so glad that I’ll have a gorgeous reminder of these stunning beauties, that I’ll one day pass along to my children. I certainly hope that each of you got something wonderful under your trees as well!
