Hi there, friends! Shannon here sharing a pocket page using the Mari kit. This kit is so fresh and springy that I knew it had to be used to document our recent landscaping overhaul. One of my favorite things to do when working in pockets is to add my own personal touches to the journaling cards. Today, I'm going to show you how I did that on this page.
This cloud card is just dreamy. Those clouds were just asking to be stamped with some sweet sentiments from the Mari stamp set. I laid out the stamps on the card to decide on placement before committing. I didn't want to cover all of the clouds but two little clusters seemed like the perfect amount.
Since I used two colored cards on my page, I wanted to include one with plenty of white space for the eye to rest. This card was actually the color inspiration for the whole page. I really like the light blue mixed with the shades of pink. As the inspiration piece, it seemed fitting to put it front and center on my page. The only thing this card needed was a floral chipboard shape.
This pink card might be one of my favorites lately. I fussy cut the flower from the corner of a piece of Mari patterned paper. It fit perfectly into the corner of this card! I'm a big fan of the tone on tone look, as I did here. To keep with my color palette of pinks and light blue, I searched through the Mari chipboard and die cuts for light blue pieces. I printed my journaling on clear sticker paper so I could add it to the die cut tag instead of hand-writing it.
And there it is, the whole page! I love the way the Mari kit worked with these springtime photos. I hope you're enjoying the kit as well! Thank you for joining me today!
