"Strawberry Love" Layout I Kerstin Scheidler

Hello FJ Friends!

For today's Mix-it Monday post I made this layout with the Capri, Millie, Harper and Hope collections.



I combined the colors pink, yellow and green, coordinating with the magical Capri Chevron paper and I used the gorgeous Capri Strawberry paper.



I chose the Capri Chevron paper as the base and drew a square in the center 6 inches wide and 8.5 inches high, and cut out the white portions with a craft knife. Then I backed the rectangle with light pink solid color cardstock. On the right and left I then unfolded the two pink "corners" and fixed them with 3D dimensional adhesive.



I used a Hope Mini File Folder and centered 2 Capri Die Cut shapes behind it on the light pink cardstock with double sided tape.

On top of the Hope Mini File Folder I glued an approx. 3.5 x 2.5 inch Capri Spots paper piece to attach my photo to it (I got a beautiful and yummy chocolate strawberry box for Mother's Day!) with 3D dimensional adhesive.



I chose the cute Hope Mini File Folder because it is wonderful to hide journaling in.

To the right above the cute Hope Mini File Folder, I placed the sweet Harper Chipboard Tag with "Date" printed on it and a plaid Capri Die Cut Shape with "Right Now" stamped on it from the awesome Capri stamp set. Below that, I adhered a flower and two banners to the folder also from the awesome Capri Die Cut Shapes. On one banner I stamped "Eating" - that matches my photo perfectly.

I placed two more Capri Puffy Shapes - "Happy" and "Loving this" on the folder.



I absolutely had to use the wonderful Capri Strawberry paper! As soon as I saw it, I knew which photo would go with the strawberries. I cut out 12 large strawberries and 6 small strawberries with my scissors. Then I placed 2 strawberries on top of each other and sewed them together with needle and a thin thread with 3/4 stitches. (I usually do something like this in the evening when I sit on the couch together with my husband - he watches football, I sew). The sewn large strawberries as well as the small strawberries I then layered right and left on the folded triangle.

I made my title from the wonderful Capri Puffy Alphabet and a Millie Journaling Card. I cut out the word "love" with my scissors.
