Such a doll | Suse Fish
I don't know about you, but I can be snapping away with my camera and know even at that stage that these will be pics that I'll want to scrap! Given that my girl is at that age where she'll more often scowl than smile when I point the camera at her, I knew I'd hit gold with these cute little grins!
I knew I wanted to stitch on my page and I knew I wanted to do some mixed media... the question is: which comes first? Sew the title, then ruin it when the paint work goes wrong or stitch later and get not-quite-dried paint all over my thread? Tee hee.
I went for the former and hoped for the best with the mixed media experiments!
The paint has warped my paper a fair bit, but I don't mind: like my Dad used to say when we kids spilt stuff on the furniture: "It adds character!"
I went a bit mad on the bottom panel of my page; there's no plan for this kind of thing... but that's what makes it so much fun, eh?
Thanks for joining me today, friends!
