Hi there, Ulli here with you today with a little summer themed project for you.
First I wanted to scrap a layout for today´s blog post, but then I had the idea to create a cover for a Travelers notebook for all our summer memories. It is only a little project, but probably you know how it is. Our life is filled with our work, our family and many appointments and often we can not find so much time working on our craft table. Because of that I love travelers notebooks so much. I can scrap so easy and quick a little spread in a TN - often I need only 15 or 20 minutes for it and its perfect for doing only a small scrap session in the evening.

Check out the category "Note To Self" and let your heart decide which pattern you like the most. I always shop for some inserts with new designs at Felicity Jane to have some of them in stock. My favorites are the floral designs and the polka dot or polka heart patterns in black and white. They are so pretty and cute. And when I have the idea for a new little TN I can start directly and don’t have to buy some of them first.
I adore making my TN inserts more special and the cover arrangement is always my favorite thing when I do mini books or travelers notebooks. And today I want to show you how I made this summery TN cover for our summer memories this year.
It was love at first sight when I saw the floral Alexis TN insert. I already loved the floral patterned paper in the Alexis paper pack and so the insert was a must have for me. The colors from this TN insert are so fresh and summery and it was waiting some months in my craft room for a function.
First I stitched the white ruffled crepe trim from the Brooke Kit vertically on my TN cover. I love the playful look of this ruffled trim so much. I cut it a little bit bigger than the TN size and after stitching I trimmed the ends of it with my scissors. I've used my sewing machine and white thread for it.
Then I stitched the title on this crepe trim too. Then, I've used the die cut "Summer" from the Summer Kit from last year and the pink puffy alphabet from the Brooke kit. This pink matches perfectly to the pink in the TN cover.
I die cut some tropical leaves from solid patterned paper from Felicity Jane in pink and glued them with some tulle in mint green under the ruffle trim. Then I decorated it with a black and white striped butterfly from the Layering Butterflies from the Brie kit.
I wanted to use some of the super cute Brie chipboard flairs too and so I had the idea to work with more circles on this page. I punched out some circles from some small Alexis and Henley paper leftovers and spread them on the cover. I played with some different sizes. I also used some glue dots to add some dimension to the "Notes" chipboard circle.
Then I splattered some white paint from a shimmer spray across the title page.To finish off this cover page I stamped some little hearts from the Heidi stamp set in black and added some Henley Epoxy Dots in mint.
Now I have this little book ready in my beautiful scalloped TN cover and I can start filling it with our summer memories.
