Hello FJ fans,
It is Jana here and I am so happy that I can share with you my summer project! The new amazing Elizabeth kit is just perfect for any summer crafting!
I have decided to use a notebook for documenting our summer days. (This notebook is a little sneak peek at a new product coming soon to the Felicity Jane store!) I have been playing with the idea to stop pocket scrapbooking for some time now and start doing something less time and material consuming. I think this A5 notebook will be a good test to see how much I can fit in there!
As for the cover, I went for a simple decoration. I cut half of the paper pack cover because I couldn't decide which paper to use. Then I created the title by using the chipboard die cut shape (aren't these just so pretty!) and label die cut. Oh and the enamel hearts. Loooove!
The left hand corner is decorated with a layered sticker border and it is really cute.
As for the inside. I went for one page=one day organisation. Here I document our visit to cinema. I don't usually print out photos from the internet because I struggle to find space for them in our weekly album but here I decided that I could easily fit it there. Making a grid of photos and patterned paper is my most favourite composition.
The heart paper is so beautiful as well as the layered stickers. I decided I am not going to worry about using 3D embellishments. I just want to have fun!
This layout has a bit of a different colour combo than the kit but I just had to use this photo. #becauseofroses Roses in the kit are perfect and the stamp set motivated me to do something a bit unusual for my style. If you knew me, I am not a mixed media person. But I challenged myself, used heat embossing and created my own background using my watercolours. It was exciting I have to say!
As for the title I fussy cut the stamped word "love".
