Hi FJ friends!
Ulli here with you today and I have a cute TN spread for you. I’ve used the wonderful and fresh summer kit June and I love this collection so much! I had some fun with fussy cutting and here is a picture while I’ve created this TN spread.
First I cut my Essentials White Cardstock to 2 pieces - each 8 x 4 1/4 inches. I love to glue the pages into my travelers notebooks later when they are finished. The Essentials White Cardstock has such an amazing white color and for me this is the best cardstock in the whole wide world. Also the thickness is perfect for layouts and also for using it with electronic die cutting machines. It is also perfect to glue into your travelers notebook inserts.
I wanted to scrap a picture of our vacation last year at Seeland in the Netherlands on the North Sea and of course the wonderful June "Waves & Cross Stitch" paper was just perfect for it. I decided to make a paper strip on the bottom and to fussy cut the waves at the top of the paper. I used a paper strip of 4 1/8 inches high and glued it a little overlapping my picture. I glued the picture left-justified under the waves on the right TN page. Then I cut it on the right side of the paper border and glued the second part of the picture at the same height on the right TN page.
I love the sweet daisies from the super cute June "Florals & Stripes" paper and decided to fussy cut them. First I wanted to use all the flowers, but then I saw the wonderful contrast from the daisies in white and yellow to the mint paper and so I only fussy cut daisies and glued them on the waves under my picture and also behind them. These blossoms look like they would swim on the waves and I love this look so much. Then I made a playful flower line to the right TN page on the top. I used the polka dot tag from the June Designer Tag Set and glued it on the top of the right TN page and cut the overlapping paper on the border with my scissors. Then I glued the rest of this tag on the left side on the bottom.
I used white thread and my sewing machine and made sewing lines on the bottom and on the top of each page. It is only a little eye catcher, but on a simple page its always a little highlight. I used the roller date stamp from Felicity Jane and stamped the date on the white and yellow label from the June Die Cut Shapes. Then I glued it on the little polka dot strip on the bottom of the left page.
I added the title with the June "Summer" stamp and the wonderful mint June alphabet and added the word "day" with it. Then I added the wonderful sun puffy sticker of the June collection beside it. On the bottom of the right side I also added the cute location symbol with the heart. I also added the word stamp "Here" there. Inspired by the "Waves & Cross Stitch" paper of the June collection I added some cross stitches on the picture and the tag. I used a paper piercer and made four holes for every cross. I made a cross on the right side of the picture, three on the top of the picture and three on the polka dot tag above. Then I used pinkish and pink thread to make the cross stitches with a needle.
At the end I added some of the sweet black puffy dots of the June collection on my spread and used also the epoxy dots of the June Bits & Pieces in pink and yellow too. Then I added a Lindsey Epoxy Heart on the wave to finish off my spread.
I hope you like my summery TN page !
I cant wait to see what you will create with this sweet and bright summer collection!
