Hi everyone,
Summer is almost over but my summer journal is most certainly not. I still have loooots of pages to create but I am really enjoying this little project of mine. I have three pages for you today to prove how easy scrapbooking can be and that you don't need much to tell your story. These little A5 spreads were created within an hour... I think.
As soon as I saw the pretty summer stamps I knew I wanted to use them to create a background for my spread. I love stamps but in the past I have sometimes been a bit lazy or reluctant to use them. Thanks to Felicity Jane I am right on the stamping track! I went for two shades of blue and black ink for the phrase. I used smaller stamps to create a bit of variety.
As for the embellishments I used the cutest chipboard camera ever and one green tag from the Die Cut Shapes from the Elizabeth kit.
The second page is very girly. I had been dying to fussy cut the beautiful flowers in the Denise kit and now I finally got to it.
When you use flowers like these, you don't need anything else. I believe it is enough just to add a title, few labels and puffy hearts and voila, your layout is done!
My last layout is another girly one and very pink! As soon as I printed out the photos of my daughter I knew I had to go back to that amazing rainbow from the Megan kit.
As for the embellishment I used some puffy hearts and a few die cuts from the Megan kit. The title is created by Brooke pink alphabet. Such a great font!
So there you go, three pages, three different kits. It is always good to go back to previous kits and enjoy them all over again. Do you also use you stash from past kits or do you prefer to have fun with brand new stuff? Thank you for being here with me today!
