Sunday Fun-day TN with Jaimee Kit | Lynne Ashcraft

Hello FJ friends! It’s Lynne here, sharing a traveler’s notebook spread using the awesome Jamiee kit. I absolutely love this brush pattern paper that came in the kit and want to use it on EVERYTHING. But for now, I started with this layout using it as a base for my left side.

I also knew I wanted to use this polka dot velum pocket front and decided to use it as a journal card holder. I printed out my journaling on plain white paper and cut it down to fit the pocket, adding just a pop of color using the lighter blue paper in the kit as a background. From there I added a couple of stamps and drew a lined border around the edge. The final touch was adding the striped designer cardstock tab to make it easier to pull the card out.

I had played with the stamp set when it first arrived by stamping everything out on plain paper and then fussy cutting them. This gives me some options for move them around on a layout before I commit, but in this case, the fussy cut versions of the dotted and thick striped stamps worked great as layers just as they are on top of the vellum pocket. I used the LOVE cutout from the Felicity Jane silhouette cut file and then added the final die cut star and heart shapes that came in the kit.

Then it was time to work on the right side. I added my photos to plain white paper and used the black puffy alphas for my title. The black heart from the puffy sticker set was a great addition to the middle of it for spacing. I hand cut the scallop border from the light blue paper in the kit and then cut some super small paper strips to use along the edges and along the bottom of my title from that same paper. I then cut a small piece of the striped paper as an additional border under my title. I used the dotted stamp from the kit to stamp a repeated pattern, then cut one row out of the pattern to make one dotted line row above my title. The final step was adding the hello puffy sticker to the top of the title and stamping the date at the bottom.
