Hello FJ Friends!
Today I have a new spread to share with you that I’ve made for my Note to Self Binder using the beautiful Elizabeth Kit. I’m using my binder this year to record things like my goals, things I love, favourite memories, etc. The Note to Self A5 Grid Inserts are my pages of choice to use as the background for the majority of my projects in this format.
I started with two blank grid pages. I have two smaller photos (approximately 3 x 2.25 in each) for the first page and a 6 x 4 in photo for the second.
I trimmed the Sunshiney Days journaling card down a little and cut it into a tag shape, stitched around the edge then added twine from my stash to the top. I then arranged the tag and photos onto the page.
At the bottom left of the photos I chose some Elizabeth chipboard shapes, die cut shapes and a layered sticker to form an embellishment cluster. The date was stamped onto a Megan tiny tag using the FJ Roller Date Stamp and attached to the first photo using a black mini wide paper clip. I added two stamped phrases to this page as well…one from the Elizabeth stamp set and the other from the Jeana stamp set.
For the second page of the spread, I backed the photo with some of the yellow solid colour paper. When adhering the photo to the page I made sure to position the double sided tape down each side on the back so that I could slip a hidden journaling tag in behind.
I cut the printed journaling into a tag shape and added a stamp from the Lola stamp set. I then backed it with the Elizabeth lemon paper, stitched around the edge and used a Jaimee Designer Tab at the top. I stamped the tab with the word “Details” from the Alexis stamp set, added stitching then stapled the tab to the tag.
At the bottom of the photo I added the “relax” die cut word, a floral die cut shape then stamped a phrase from the Elizabeth stamp set.
A little more stitching and some epoxy stickers were added across the spread as finishing touches.
You can watch my process in the video below...
I really enjoy mixing things up and scrapping in this format! Have you tried using a binder for your memory keeping?
I hope I’ve given you a few ideas you can try on your next project. I’ll see you again soon!
Sheree x
