Sweet Cousins | Mandy Melville
It's lovely to be here on the blog with you today to share my first project using the ever-so-beautiful 'Sophie' kit! How much are you crushing on this kit?! I think it could be my favourite kit yet!
I documented a couple of photos of my eldest daughter with my cute little nephew. Abi is the eldest of all her cousins, and she loves doting on the babies!
I knew that for my first layout using this kit, that I wanted to feature those gorgeous florals! I used the ones on the sticker sheet, and I also fussy cut some from the beautiful floral patterned paper. How pretty are they?! I also tucked one of the wood veneer leaves into the cluster, which adds a little bit more texture and interest.
The silicone charms are another one of my favourite things about this kit. I seriously had to try so hard not to use them all up on this one layout! But I really couldn't go past the word 'sweet', and when you team it up with the beautiful puffy alphabet stickers, it makes for the perfect combination for a super pretty title!
I added another floral cluster to the right of the photos to balance out the one on the left. Once again, I used flowers from the sticker sheet as well as ones that I had fussy cut from the patterned paper. Here you can see that I added some foam tape behind one or two of the flowers to create varying heights and depth.
I added a fishtail banner from the sticker sheet to the top left hand corner of the layout, and then added the scallop border sticker to the bottom right hand corner in order to draw the viewer's eye diagonally down the page.
I finished the page off with a few of the silicone charm hearts and some of the little puffy heart stickers.
Thanks so much for joining me today!
